Stay in a building protected by the Fine Arts

Beside the Church of ”San Jacopo di Campo Corbolini” (founded in 1206 and since 1256 belonged to the Knights Templar) in 1700 a small female convent was added, today the seat of the Hotel Machiavelli Palace.

In a later period, as evidenced by the coats of arms and our Logo, two noble Florentine families, Bartolini and Salimbeni, bought and transformed the convent into a stately building which became their residence.

The building, protected by "Fine Arts", it was completely renovated in 1999, maintaining the typical atmosphere of ancient Florence characterized by the lines and finishes in the Florentine style of the period left unchanged, such as frescoes, coffered ceilings, ornaments in serene stone, antique furniture and accessories for the furnishings.

In short, a welcoming structure where each room is unique, different from the others and capable of offering a cross-section of Florentine history - like an open window on the past.
